Macy’s made a business decision to upgrade all the the halogen MR16 lamps to energy efficient LEDs. The project would have a need for 37,000 replacement lamps across many facilities around the nation. Before Macy’s selected Green Creative as the go-to resource for the project, heavy vetting took place. This is a great testament to the quality of products.
Flat out, the 7 watt MR replacement lamp used in the Macy’s facilities saved the company $17K / Month and over the course of a year will save $75,000. The Green Creative product delivered a 30% greater efficiency than the closest competitor which yielded into an additional 54kW energy savings. These energy savings combined with a 25% utility rebate means that Macy will make the money back invested in the project over the course of 1 year! Truly a win-win for all parties involved.
