Iolite Can-less fixtures are an excellent choice to provide your general downlighting application with specification grade, long lasting, energy efficient illumination.
Consisting of 1, 2 and 4-inch LED modules, the Iolite Can-less family is available in a variety of color temperatures. Each Iolite Can-less LED module is made of die-cast aluminum and includes a 6-inch quick-connect wire to the driver box for ease of installation. Modules are threaded to fit the trim and transfer heat. COB LED optics are deep set for low aperture brightness and each LED module includes three field-adjustable optics for spot, narrow flood, or flood beam spreads. These specially designed optics produce more usable light, ultimately reducing the amount of wattage required to light a space or highlight an object. Many other LED downlights waste light production and have to use higher wattage fixtures to produce the same desired effects that Iolite downlights produce with less wattage.
The Iolite Can-less series is designed to be easily installed in remodel or new construction applications, and accomodates ceiling thickness up to 3/4″. Simply cut the ceiling, wire the junction box and insert the fixture in the ceiling cavity. The IC air-tight rated fixtures are available in round or square apertures in a variety of styles and finishes. Iolite Can-less is offered in three aperture sizes and up to 1250 lumens in dedicated color temperatures or Comfort Dim® (warm dim). The Iolite Can-less LED downlights are a three part system with components meant to be ordered la carte: Step 1: Choose your LED module size; Step 2: Select a coordinating trim; Step 3: Add-on your remote driver.
LED Dimming – Two Choices
White Light Dimming (Standard) – Consistent color across dimming range keeps colors natural and consistent. Unlike incandescent dimming, most LED dimming does not change in color as power decreases but remains close to the original color temperature of the source. This is called white light dimming. White light dimming is also found with fluorescent dimming, and has become accepted in most commercial, architectural and residential applications primarily because there were not other energy efficient solutions that would warm the light as it was dimmed.
Comfort Dim (Optional) – Warm, rich light dimming creates an intimate atmosphere. An innovation in energy efficient dimming, Comfort Dim® by Nora, warms the light as power is reduced. Comfort Dim color tunes the temperature from a bright color to a warm and romantic incandescent feel. The Iolite Series goes from 3100K to 2000K. Comfort Dim® is the perfect solution for restaurants, retail, home theaters, multi-purpose event venues and other applications where the temperature and comfort of the light sets the mood.
