As summer draws nearer, now is a great opportunity to change out any outdated or non-functioning ceiling fans. At PROLIGHTING, the ceiling fan brands we offer combine beautiful style with premium performance. When shopping for a ceiling fan, there are a few important questions to answer. Whether it will be used year-round (you’ll want something with reversible blades to circulate cool air in the summer, and warm air in the winter), efficiency and how much energy savings to expect (consider an ENERGY STAR®-rated fixture), lighting options (purchasing a separate light kit or selecting a fan with a pre-installed fixture, and the desire for added convenience in control (such as dimming), are all key things you should consider.
PROLIGHTING’s selection of ceiling fans and ceiling fans with lights go beyond just form and function. Below we’ll show you three heavy hitters from our ceiling fan department, along with tips for selecting your new fan.
Fandelier by Progress Lighting
Ideal for any great room, bedroom, living room, or bonus room, the multi-light Fandelier delivers ultra-powerful, revitalizing cool air movement stylishly packaged in an open cage design. These sophisticated fans allow for control of speed, direction, and light dimming. Effortlessly control the full-range dimming and fan speed capabilities with the company’s 3-speed remote with its batteries included—making it ready for immediate use. A manual reverse switch is available for year-round comfort.
Shop the Briarwood 22-inch Ceiling Fandelier at PROLIGHTING. Perfect for farmhouse, rustic, and coastal aesthetics, the Briarwood features three blades coated with a matte black finish, that rotate within the open frame design. Experience energy savings with a cutting-edge AC motor. A 3-speed remote control with batteries is included so you can adjust full-range dimming and fan speed without breaking a sweat. A dual mount canopy can accommodate flat or sloped ceilings (sloped -22º).

Fandelight by Maxim Lighting
Certainly a luxurious statement of modernity—introducing Maxim’s signature high performance, Wi-Fi enabled Fandelights. An elegant fusion of function and fashion, Maxim’s Fandelight is a DC motor, 6-speed fan with reverse function. Connect to Wi-Fi for wireless control of speed, direction, light dimming, and CCT-tuning (on applicable models). The Wi-Fi enabled control is housed in the canopy and can be either operated by the remote included in your purchase, or Smart Home apps without the use of a bridge.
Hand woven rattan wicker is shaped into a sloping drum shade with an internal fan and LED light source within—this is Maxim’s Tulum Fandelight. Dark bronze metalwork encases an LED ring toward the bottom edge of the shade, directing ample light downward—2,220-2,500 lumens of CTT-tunable white light to be exact. Easily transition from warm 2700K to Daylight white. The surface coatings are rated for applications, so the Tulum Fandelight is safe to go outside under covered roofs. Transform your patio with coastal flair and escape the heat with this Fandelight by Maxim.

Fans by Oxygen Lighting
Offering an extensive collection of traditional lamping and state of the art LED technology in both indoor and outdoor fixtures, Oxygen Lighting is known for their minimal and architectural shapes. Their line of gorgeous ceiling fans stays true to their contemporary and streamlined aesthetic. With a range in styles from transitional, modern and purely artistic, Oxygen is sure to have a ceiling fan to fit your needs. Consider the Oslo series—available in six finishes (black, white, polished nickel, satin nickel, aged brass, and oiled bronze) with an optional light kit to add LED lighting to your fan (sold separately).
The Oslo Ceiling Fan by Oxygen Lighting delivers abundant airflow into interior living areas with its 4-bladed design that reach a 52-inch blade sweep. Oslo is available in a traditional stem model and a hugger mount. The Oslo Hugger Ceiling Fan hugs the ceiling, allowing for a near-seamless integration into whichever room its housed in, which can be spaces like bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchens. It features 3 speeds and reversible fan blades for year-round use. The Oslo Ceiling Fan also comes with wall control for easy, convenient use.

Sizing
Size is so important when shopping for a ceiling fan. If a fan is too large, it will quickly overwhelm the space. Choose something too small and the airflow may be inadequate. Here’s how to make sure you size it right:
- Under 100 sq. ft. – up to 51″. Room type: small bedrooms, offices, breakfast nooks, laundry rooms and porches.
- Up to 400 sq. ft. – 52 to 59″. Room type: primary bedrooms, family rooms, dining rooms and kitchens.
- 400 sq. ft. or more – over 60 to 71″. Room type: great rooms, large garages, basements and open floor plans.
- Commercial – 72″ or more. Room type: warehouses, gyms, workshops and factories.
