Recently, Lutron has released the Sunnata RF Hybrid Keypads combining Lutron dimmer technology with advanced keypad functionality, giving homeowners total connected control of indoor and outdoor lights. As a wireless lighting control solution, the keypad’s RF technology makes it a great fit for both retrofit and new construction.
The Sunnata RF Hybrid Keypads have both dimmer and keypad functionality all in one device — an ideal combination for retrofit lighting control applications since they eliminate the need to add an extra gang to the wallbox. One keypad can control groups of devices such as dimmers, light switches, ceiling fans, automated shades and other integrated devices like audio systems. Lights gradually fade on and off with customized fade rate. RF connectivity enables schedule, scene and other system-controlled events.
The Sunnata RF Keypad provides lighting scene control that can instantly transform a space into a comfort zone by activating scenes by automatically adjusting levels of light, music, to your preset levels. With the new Sunnata RF Hybrid Keypads, professional installers are able to introduce RadioRA 3 systems to new clients and upgrade more existing RadioRA 2 jobs.
The Lutron Sunnata RF Keypads are the first keypads created with the stylish Sunnata light bar, which was introduced back in 2020 with the launch of the Sunnata Touch Dimmer. Hybrid keypads feature large, easy-to-use buttons. LED bars on each button air helps users find the buttons in the dark. The light bar brightness can be customized, including ‘off’ for places where total darkness might be preferred, like the bedroom. Hybrid keypad are offered in 3-button with raise/lower, 2-button and 4-button configurations. Hybrid keypads include a Front Accessible Service Switch (FASS) for safe lamp replacement. Like all premium Lutron switches and controls, Sunnata keypads are designed for reliable, long-term performance.
Keypad buttons can be configured for integrated lighting scene control or as a simple on/off toggle switch control for a light or group of lights. Each button can be customized with personalized text or icons. Sunnata RF Keypads have changeable front plastics in multiple colors to match any décor (keypads only). Sunnata Hybrid Keypads are designed to be used with Lutron designer-opening wallplates (sold separately). Lutron wallplates snap on with no visible means of attachment. Here’s how customization works: default printing provides the ability to immediately use the Hybrid Keypad in the space. Once the required custom printing has been identified, a replacement button kit can be redeemed using the RadioRA 3 setup software.
