A Legacy of Excellence
Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Brentwood, New York, SATCO Products, Inc. started out making light bulbs and grew into a company covering most of the lighting catalog. In 2005 it launched NUVO Lighting, adding decorative and functional fixtures to a business built on lamps. That two brand structure is why one supplier can handle a warehouse relamp and a dining room pendant. It also lets SATCO|NUVO serve practical and aesthetic needs from the same catalog.
The operation runs on roughly 1.5 million square feet of warehousing across about 20 distribution centers in the United States, Canada and Mexico. For a distributor, that depth is the point. Availability is what separates a supplier you can quote from one you can only browse.

LED Lamps and Bulbs
Lamps are the core of what SATCO does and the majority of what our customers order from the line. Browse the full range of SATCO lamps and bulbs, the deepest part of the SATCO NUVO lighting catalog, or start with the categories that move fastest:
- LED filament lamps: the busiest category we ship from SATCO. Clear glass and a visible filament give you the look people want in exposed fixtures at LED wattages. Common pulls are the 8W A19 clear filament at 3000K and 800 lumens, the 8W G40 globe for vanity and pendant work, and the 5.5W B11 candelabra on an E12 base. There’s also a 6.5W A19 filament with dusk to dawn control built in, which saves running a photocell on porch fixtures.
- Standard and commercial A19: the 15.5W A19 at 4000K and 1600 lumens is our top selling SATCO lamp outright. The Commercial Grade 8.5W A19 is a separate animal, dimmable at 1000 lumens in 2700K and 5000K, and built for the duty cycle of a rental property or a corridor rather than a bedside lamp.
- Reflectors and specialty: BR and R20 in dim to warm and CCT selectable versions, PAR lamps for track and accent work, MR16 for low voltage, plus a deep bench of miniature and PL lamps for the retrofits nobody plans for.
HID Replacement Lamps
This corner of the catalog gets overlooked and shouldn’t. SATCO’s LED HID replacement lamps drop into existing metal halide and high pressure sodium fixtures, which turns a parking garage or warehouse retrofit into a lamp swap instead of a fixture replacement.
The range covers ED17 at 13.5W through ED37 at 62W, mostly in 4000K and 5000K on 120 to 277V with E26 or EX39 mogul bases. It’s the least disruptive path to LED in the entire SATCO NUVO lighting range. Verify ballast requirements against the specific catalog number before ordering, since some versions run on the existing ballast and others need it bypassed.
Functional Fixtures
Built for commercial spaces where output matters more than looks. SATCO’s Functional Fixtures catalog is broad, covering shop and work lights, emergency and exit fixtures, high bay lighting, jelly jars and vapor proof wall packs. The 30W adjustable LED garage utility light at 5000K is a steady seller for exactly the reason you’d guess.
Price emergency and exit products early on commercial jobs. They tend to be the items that hold up an inspection.
Indoor/Outdoor LED Tape Light
Color changing and tunable white tape light kits with RGB plus warm to cool white settings. Self adhesive and dimmable. Outdoors they add safety along paths and steps and a bit of atmosphere to a backyard after dark.
STARFISH™ Smart Lighting
STARFISH™ by SATCO® is the brand’s smart platform. It runs over Wi-Fi with no hub required, using the free app on iPhone or Android, and works with Alexa, Google Home, Siri and SmartThings.
You can start with one room and scale up from there, setting scenes, schedules and routines as it suits the house. STARFISH has also grown past bulbs. The line now includes RGBTW decorative filament lamps in A19, ST19 and B11 with E26 and E12 bases, which pairs the exposed filament look with app control. SATCO has extended it into security cameras and doorbells as well, storing video on built in 32GB SD cards with no monthly subscription. In a category built on recurring fees, that tends to be the deciding factor.
Recessed Downlights
Browse the full range of LED downlights for new construction and retrofit applications. The Slim Fit family is our most requested, available as a 10W 4″ round and a 9W 4″ square with smooth baffle trims. Both are CCT selectable, so one part number covers 2700K through 5000K and the electrician sets it on site. Fewer SKUs to stock, and no reorder when a client decides the light reads too warm.
Also worth a look in the SATCO NUVO lighting downlight range is the 6″ Recessed Downlight with Night Light, which builds a night light into the fixture that activates by toggling the wall switch. It’s 5 CCT color selectable at 90 CRI, dimmable, IC rated and wet location rated, so it’s a legitimate choice for bathrooms and hallways where you want a low level at night without a separate circuit.
For existing cans, SATCO makes pressure bracket kits for 5″ and 6″ downlight retrofits, sold in pairs. Small part, and the one that saves a callback when a retrofit won’t seat properly.
Energy
SATCO NUVO lighting helps manage energy costs with high performing LEDs, and pursues ENERGY STAR® and DLC® certification across much of the range. The company offers one of the industry’s largest catalogs of LED options for traditional lamp replacement.
The certifications matter beyond the energy savings. DLC listing is what makes a product eligible for most utility rebate programs, so on a commercial retrofit the listing can move the payback math further than the wattage does. Listings are assigned per catalog number rather than per family, so confirm the exact SKU if a rebate is part of the project budget.
