PROLIGHTING carries the full SATCO NUVO lighting catalog, and it covers a part of most projects that fixture brands don’t: the lamps, retrofit sources and components that finish a job. Bulbs get less attention than fixtures, but nobody wraps up an installation without them.
LED lights are everywhere in today’s homes thanks to their efficiency, versatility, safety and low maintenance. The one complaint that comes up more than any other is LED flickering. Bulbs can flicker for a lot of reasons, and with LEDs the cause is harder to pin down than it was with incandescents. The number one culprit is a dimmer that isn’t compatible, but it’s not the only one.
One of the best things about LED technology is that it allows you to create your own custom lighting design using color temperature, brightness, warmth and efficiency. By considering the Kelvin temperature, you can ensure that the light fixture complements the intended purpose and ambiance of the space. Different colors of light can impact our mood and behavior. But how does one actually choose the color temperature of their LED lighting? For those unfamiliar, we’ll explain the importance of CCT, how to choose based on your application, and how field-adjustable CCT products help make choosing even easier.
