Lutron Lumaris Tape Light: RGB + Tunable White Guide

Built as part of Lutron’s RadioRA 3 and HomeWorks systems, the Lutron Lumaris tape light family brings color tunable accent lighting to a segment younger homeowners keep asking for by name.

The Lutron Lumaris tape light line exists because colorful lighting took over social media and never really left. Ask installers what affluent millennial and Gen Z clients request most, and saturated RGB color lands near the top of the list almost every time. For years that created a problem on the install side. There was no simple, affordable way to control color changing tape as part of a smart, whole home system, so integrators either priced in a separate DMX layer or talked the client out of it.

Simplify LED Upgrades with Lutron Ballast Retrofit Kits by C-Flex

LEDs are now the design standard in commercial buildings. As replacing fluorescent lamps and ballasts gets difficult, kits make upgrades easy.

As the lighting market sunsets fluorescent technology to embrace the advantages of LEDs, and legislation restricts the sale of fluorescent lamps, Lutron continues its leadership position in the industry with fast, simple, off-the-shelf retrofit kits. Lutron Ballast Retrofit Kits by C-Flex offer 1:1 fluorescent-to-LED upgrades using existing controls and fixtures, and the flexibility to upgrade over time to meet budget demands, scheduling, and new regulations. Fire Rated Downlights: When Code Requires Them and 4 Brands to Know

PROLIGHTING carries fire rated downlights from several manufacturers for contractors working in rated assemblies. But first, why fire rated at all? While typical IC rated fixtures are designed and tested for direct contact with insulation, they’re actually poor flame barriers. Most IC fixtures are light sheet metal or aluminum that breaks down rapidly in direct contact with fire. Every time you cut a hole in a ceiling to install a recessed light, you create a free passage for fire and smoke. IC rated fixtures are built to avoid starting a fire. Fire rated downlights act as a barrier once one has already started.
