The King name has long been associated with innovation, dating back into the 1940’s when Lloyd King identified a surging post-war demand for aluminum used in pots and pans, siding, and other household products. King sensed a consumer need for these products and founded King Technology, an aluminum foundry in Minneapolis. Fast forward 20 years - after exiting the aluminum business, King ventured into the irrigation industry and used his knowledge and expertise to produce the first freeze protection products for underground irrigation systems. With his son at the helm, products such as DryConn Waterproof Connectors were developed and brought to market. This patented product line transformed the irrigation and electrical industry by allowing installers to splice and seal conductors in one easy step. The line has won twelve national awards for product excellence.
The King Innovation company has evolved considerably over the years, but the goal has always remained the same; innovation. Today, operating alongside other prominent brands, King Innovation continues its commitment in producing innovative products.
